Klewag. Straight, convex single-edged blade. Half-circle fretted from blade next to hilt. Straight polished wooden hilt, dark stained, curved bulbous pommel. Straight, brown wooden scabbard bound three double bands woven rattan cane. "John Bruce" written on scabbard.

Shamshir. Narrow, highly curved, long, single-edged blade. Fluted, engraved floral, scrolled patterns next hilt. Wooden hilt with bulbous pommel.

Six-waved, straight, watered blade, curved; carved wooden hilt. Straight brown wooden scabbard bound three double bands, one triple band rattan cane.

'Dha' sword

Small lacquered dish with three feet.

Complete tatā (waka bailer) made of dark brown rimu. Surface is smooth with chisel marks evident. The curved handle protrudes over the scoop, with a facial carving on the butt consisting of spirals and notches and two perforations. A stump on the interior of the scoop below the handle indicates that there had once been a support bar projecting from the underside of the handle which has since been sawn off. There is another carving at the base of the handle and at the back of the scoop with koru, spiral, and notch patterns. The interior and exterior of the scoop are undecorated.

Complete tatā (canoe bailer). Light brown rimu wood. Surface is worked smooth but with wood grain still evident. Handle is straight with a carved face at the butt (browline, bulbous eyes, and nose are indicated). Style departs from traditional design with handle at back, indicates European influence. A chip is missing from centre edge of pouring edge.

Complete stairwell stringer (diagonal beam that holds up the steps/treads of the stairwell). One end is diagonally cut, with the end chipped and worn. This end has one nail hole. The opposite end is snapped. The top surface has 7 pairs of nail holes (14 holes total). The whole beam has pest holes sporadically bored into it.
