Tūhura Otago Museum respects your privacy.

You are not obliged to share your personal information with us, but any information that you do share will be kept securely.

Most of the information that we collect is limited to contact details, but some interactions with the Museum may require us to ask for other information about you.

Some reasons we collect information include, but are not limited to:

  1. Ticket sales to events and exhibits

  2. Donations, collection loans, and collection access requests

  3. Competition entries, newsletter subscriptions, and online shop purchases

  4. Recruitment

We collect only as much information as we need and we will not share this information with third parties unless this was specified when you gave us the information.

You have the right to ask us what information we hold about you and to request changes to your information.

2. Images of You

Our staff may take photographs or video at Museum events, in the galleries, or on outreach events to record and promote the work that we are doing. Entry to the Museum or these events implies consent, though we will seek permission for close-up or identifiable images where appropriate.
