Complete adze. Stone. Black. Cross-section of blade is trapezoidal, front flattened. Cross-section of butt is oval. Surface of blade is ground. Surface of butt is bruised. Minor differentiation between butt and blade, with sides reduced. Bevel is demarcated by a line. Cutting edge is sharp and curved.3 chips on proper left side, one large chip on proper right side of cutting edge. 'Otago' written on front.
