Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Pounamu. Dark grey. Cross-section is semi-circular, front flattened. Surface of front is ground, surface of back is bruised, flaked at back butt and poll. Minor differentiation between butt and blade, sides taper towards poll, back reduced, sloping upwards towards poll. Bevel is demarcated by a small ridge, cutting edge is heavily chipped, large fragment on proper right cutting edge missing. Otago written on back.
