Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Cross-section is triangular at poll, with apex to front, becoming semi-circular at butt. Cross-section of blade is triangular with apex to front, apex widening towards lower blade where cross-section becomes trapezoidal, with front narrower than back. Surface is bruised with some partial grounding on proper left side and front lower blade, ground on bevel. Minor differentiation between butt and blade, front reduced. One lug at poll on proper left. Bevel is demarcated by a subtle ridge at chin, cutting edge is sharp and curved, lightly chipped. "Waitaki" written on front and back. Sticker on back reads "Waitaki".
