Adze roughout. Grey stone. Cross-section is trapezoidal near the butt, with the back narrower than the front and rectangular on the blade. Surface is bruised. Major differentiation between the butt and the blade, with the sides tapered towards the poll. There is no obvious bevel. Cutting edge is not present. Inscriptions "215 7-8-27 Papanui Inlet"
