Koropepe

Complete koropepe pendant, carved on both sides. Kawakawa variety of pounamu, mid-green in colour. Surface is ground. Body is curved in a spiral, with a perforation at the centre. Face at the proximal end, with a mouth indicated by a notch and eyes filled with red sealing wax. Suspension hole at the back of the head, drilled from both sides.
