Adze, Toki

Complete Adze The cross-section is triangular with apex to the front. The surface is bruised, but the bevel and blade are ground. There is major differentiation between the butt and the blade; there are raised shoulders and the sides obviously taper in towards the poll. Half of the bevel is ground while the top half remains bruised like the rest of the adze. The bevel is demarcated by a line at the chin. The cutting edge is curved and sharp.
