Complete adze. Stone. Black. Cross-section is oval. Surface is mostly ground, with flaking on sides. Undifferentiated between butt and blade, sides taper towards poll. Bevel is demarcated by a line, cutting edge is sharp and curved. Romahapa Swamp written on back, Southland NZ written on front. complete Oval butt, trapezoidal blade front wider than back. Ground with major bruising on the butt and back of the blade. There is major differentiation between the butt and blade with reductions from the blade to butt on all sides. The bevel is continuous with the blade. The Bevel is concave. The cutting edge is curved and sharp.
