Adze, Toki
Complete adze. The cross section of the blade is rectangular. The cross section of the butt is plano-convex with the back flattened. The surface is predominantly ground at the lower end becoming predominantly bruised towards the butt. The butt is differentiated by a reduction of the front and sides at the shoulder, and a transition from rectangular to plano-convex cross section. The bevel is continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is curved and sharp.
