Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Mid green pounamu. Surface is ground and flaked. Cross-section is rectangular on the blade and circular on the butt. Minor differentiation between the butt and the blade; sides are slightly reduced, particularly on the proper right side. Sides of the butt taper toward the poll. Bevel is demarcated by a line. Cutting edge is curved and sharp. "Waimate." inscription on front.
