Adze, Hammerstone, Toki
Complete adze. Pounamu. Dark green. Cross-section of blade trapezoidal with back narrower than front, and cross-section of butt is oval. Surfaces of front blade/lower butt, lower sides and bevel are ground. Surfaces of back blade, back butt and upper butt are bruised. Major differentiation between butt and blade, sides and front reduced forming shoulder. Ridge on mid-butt. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is sharp curved and very chipped. Mataura written on front.
