Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Dark grey stone. Cross-section is trapezoidal, with front narrower than the back. Surface is ground and bruised. Sides of the butt are reduced to form a ridge in the centre. Bevel is demarcated by an irregular line. Cutting edge is oblique and sharp. "Kaikoura" inscription on back.
