Complete adze. Light grey stone. Surface is ground and bruised. Cross-section is trapezoidal, with back narrower than the front. Front of the butt is slightly reduced; sides taper toward poll. Bevel is continuous with the blade. Cutting edge is not present due to flaking. "Kaikoura" inscription on front
