Adze, Toki
Complete unfinished adze. Dark grey stone. Trapezoidal cross-section with the back narrower than the front. The surface is mostly ground with flake scars on the sides and the butt. The butt is shaped on the front proper right, and the back proper left, by flake scarring. The bevel is smooth and demarcated by an oblique ridge. The cross-section is straight, sharp and chipped.
