Adze, Toki

Complete unfinished adze. Grey stone. Quadrangular cross-section. The surface is mostly ground with bruising on the sides and butt and flake scars at the poll. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade. The sides of the blade taper in from the cutting edge towards the poll. The bevel is smooth and continuous with the blade. It is demarcated on the proper left by a curved ridge. The cutting edge is curved and chipped.
