Adze, Toki

Broken unfinished adze, lower blade and bevel only. Light grey stone. The cross-section at the broken end is rounded triangular. Plano-convex cross-section at the bevel with the front flattened. The surface is bruised and ground with flake scars on the ends and sides. The bevel is triangular and demarcated by a ridge. The cutting edge is flaked and asymmetrical.
