Te Kohinga Taoka Māori
Collection Record
Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Grey stone. The cross-section is an asymmetrical rounded rectangle. The surface is bruised, with a small area ground at the cutting end. It is difficult to tell which side is which as there is no distinction between the butt and the blade, and no bevel. The poll is asymmetrical and the other end forms a pointy tip.
