Adze, Toki

Complete adze. Pounamu. Mid green. Cross-section is trapezoidal, with back narrower than front. Surface is ground on front, sides, and upper back. Bruising on lower back, proper left side of front, and back of butt. Undifferentiated between butt and blade. Bevel is demarcated by a line, cutting edge is sharp and curved. Lightly chipped with larger chip on proper right side of cutting edge. "Moeraki" written on front. Complete adze. Cross section is trapezoidal with back narrower than front. Surface is mostly ground with some bruising and flaking. Entire surface and rear edge of proper right side is flaked and bruised. Minor differentiation of butt by increased taper of sides and back. Bevel is demarcated by and irregular line.
