Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Grey stone. Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is flaked and bruised. Minor differentiation between butt and blade; sides of the butt slightly reduced, particularly on the back and the proper left side. Bevel is continuous with the blade. Cutting edge is curved and sharp but chipped. "? Nth. Canterbury." inscription on the front as well as an illegible marking in pink wax? "15/--" inscription on the back.
