Adze, Toki

Complete adze. Black stone. The cross-section is rectangular. The surface is mostly ground with bruising on the front of the butt and flake scars at the poll and cutting edge. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade. The sides of the blade taper towards the poll. The bevel is smooth and demarcated by a light curved line. The cutting edge is sharp but chipped.
