Adze, Toki
Complete unfinished adze. Thin quadrangular cross-section. The surface is flaked and bruised. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade. The sides of the blade taper in from the cutting edge to the poll. The blade has been broken in tow and repaired - there is a crack on both sides and visible adhesive in the mend on the front. The bevel is indicated by a curved oblique ground section. The cutting edge is curved and irregular. There is a small piece of paper that reads "18" or "81" adhered to the front of the blade.
