Broken adze (butt and upper blade remaining - adze has previously been broken in 2 pieces and is not fixed). Stone. Black. Cross-section of blade is rectangular, cross-section of butt is semi-circular, back flattened. Surfaces of front and sides of blade are ground, back of blade and butt flaked, front and sides of butt ground. Minor differentiation between butt and blade, front reduced and sides, forming small shoulder. Otago Central written on front and back.
