Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Stone. Grey. Cross-section of blade is rectangular, cross-section of butt is oval. Surface is ground, lightly bruised. Minor differentiation between butt and blade. Sides slightly reduced, forming small shoulder. Sides taper towards poll. Two large ridges on front on butt after shoulder. Large notch cut into proper left side of butt. Bevel is demarcated by a ridge at chin. Cutting edge is sharp and curved. Mataura Valley written on front.
