Gouge, Adze, Toki
Complete gouge. Grey stone. Plano-convex cross-section, with the back flattened. The surface is ground on the front of the blade and the bevel, and flaked and bruised elsewhere. There is a steep but irregular slope on the front of the butt from towards the poll that distinguishes the butt from the blade. The bevel is demarcated by a ridge on the proper left and has a flake scar on the proper right. The cutting edge is curved and sharp.
