Wahaika paraoa
Complete wahaika paraoa. A profile human figure joins the blade to the handle, with its legs extending across the handle. The face extends out into the recessed side of the blade. Another figure extends from the poll, with tongue extended and two hands coming to hold a stylised body. Both figures are adorned with pākati (notches) along the eyes, mouth, torso, arms and legs. Both figures have paua inserts in the eyes. There is a perforation at the poll. The convex distal edge of the blade is lightly notched from use.
