Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Dark brown stone. The cross-section is trapezoidal with the back narrower than the front. The surface is mostly bruised. The front and back of the lower blade are ground and there is a large flake scar on the front of the blade near the cutting edge. There is a slightly protruding shoulder on the front of the blade and the stone is reduced on the front of the butt. The bevel is smooth and demarcated by an oblique line separating the ground surface from the bruised. The cutting edge is curved and chipped.
