Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Black and grey stone. Trapezoidal cross-section with the back narrower than the front. The surface is ground on the back and lower front of the blade. The sides, front and butt are bruised and flaked. There is reduction in the stone on the front of the adze from a large flake scar which might indicate the base of the butt. The bevel is smooth and continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is curved and sharp, with a large flake scar on the proper left.
