Adze, Toki

Complete adze, dark grey stone. Trapezoidal cross-section with the back narrower than the front. The surface is mostly ground with bruising on the sides and butt and large flake scars on the front of the butt. There is a protruding shoulder on the front of the blade and a reduction in the stone on the front of the butt. The bevel is continuous with the blade and has a natural stone surface. The cutting edge is oblique and blunt.
