Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Stone. Grey with white veins. Cross-section of blade is rectangular, with rounded sides. Cross-section of butt is semi-circular, back flattened. Surface of blade is mostly ground, back of blade becoming bruised and flaked on butt. Major differentiation between butt and blade, front reduced forming shoulder, sides taper towards poll. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is sharp and curved. Hedgehope Southland written on front.
