Adze, Toki

Complete adze. Mid grey stone. The cross-section is trapezoidal with the back narrower than the front. The surface is mostly bruised, with flake scars on the sides and the butt. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade. The sides of the blade taper in towards the poll. The bevel is smooth and continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is sharp and asymmetrical with a flake scar on the front.
