Fragment "A" of kete woven from harakeke (flax) using fine whenu (strands). Kaupapa (body) woven using takirua pattern. Sewn together along one edge with muka (flax fibre) cord twined to tapiki (finish) another edge. Fragment "B" of kete woven from harakeke (flax) using fine whenu (strands). Kaupapa (body) woven using takirua pattern. Muka (flax fibre) cord twined to tapiki (finish) opening with remaining whenu untrimmed as a decorative element. Fragments of muka cord made using the miro (rolling) technique remain.
