Adze, Toki

Complete adze. Light brown stone. Quadrangular cross-section. The surface is mostly bruised. There are large flake scars on the front of the blade. There is major distinction between the butt and the blade. There is a large protruding shoulder on the front of the blade, and the front of the butt is reduced. The poll is circular and has a sloped end with possible lugs at the edge. The bevel is smooth and continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is blunt and chipped.
