Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Light greenstone. Quadrangular cross-section. The surface is mostly ground with bruising and flaking on the poll and upper back of the blade. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade on the front. There is a reduction of the stone from flake scars on the back of the butt. The back of the adze is concave at the butt, with the poll end curving back. The bevel is smooth and continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is oblique, straight and sharp.
