Adze, Toki

Complete adze. Stone. Mid grey, light grey. Cross-section is triangular, with apex to back, but front is rounded. Surface of lower blade is ground, surfaces of front and back of blade and butt are flaked. Undifferentiated between butt and blade, sides of butt taper towards poll. Bevel is demarcated by a line, cutting edge is sharp and curved, 2 chips mid cutting edge. Wakapatu written on bevel.
