Pendant, Stone, Worked, He Kura
Piece of worked kawakawa pounamu/nephrite, possibly a pendant. Dark green colour and a smooth ground surface. Rectangular cross section. Three of the four edges have been squared off. Each end has a sharp edge with a bevel, indicating that this piece may have once been an adze or chisel. One of the ends also has two notches. The fourth edge is curved and has a projection, possibly used for suspension. The projection has a large V-shaped notch in the centre and notches at the base.
