Adze, Toki

Large complete adze. Dark grey stone. The cross-section is quadrangular. There is bruising on the front of the butt, and the sides of the blade. The back is heavily flaked. The bevel and the front of the blade are ground.There is major distinction between the butt and the blade, with a ridge and reduction in the stone on the front. There is a clear differentiation between the bevel and the blade, with an irregular line. The cutting edge is slightly curved and sharp with small chips.
