Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Dark grey and light brown stone. Cross-section is trapezoidal, with back narrower than front. Surface is ground and bruised. Sides of the butt are reduced. Back of the adze has a reduced groove running from the proper left side of the bevel to the poll. Bevel is demarcated by a line. Cutting edge is curved and sharp. "Hobson's Swamp Temuka." inscription on front and back.
