Complete adze. Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is ground, bruised at poll. Undifferentiated between butt and blade, sides widen towards poll and taper towards cutting edge. Bevel is demarcated by a faint line, is slightly concave. Cutting edge is sharp and curved, chipped. "Sumner." [partially obscured] written on front.
