Broken adze, part of blade remaining. Black stone. Cross-section is lenticular. Surface is ground and bruised on the front, with a large flake broken off the back. Back is broken off at the bevel, demarcated by a straight line. Cutting edge is curved and sharp. Butt is not present. "Papanui" inscription"
