Broken adze, blade remaining. Black and grey stone. Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is ground with a bruised line down the center of the front blade and large flake missing from center of blade. Butt is not present. Bevel is demarcated by a curved line. Cutting edge is curved and sharp with a large flake missing from the center. "Papanui" inscription.
