Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Light grey stone. The cross-section is trapezoidal with the back narrower than the front. The surface is smooth with bruising on the sides and on the front of the butt. There are flake scars on the poll and on the back of the adze. The butt is distinguished from the blade by a slight reduction on the proper left front, and by the change in surface from smooth of the blade to bruised. The bevel is demarcated from the blade by a raised chin. The cutting edge is asymmetrical and sharp. "Otago" is written in pencil on the front.
