Adze, Toki
Complete unfinished adze. Mid grey stone. Trapezoidal cross-section with the back narrower than the front. The surface is mostly flaked and bruised with ground areas on the lower blade. There is a slight shoulder and reduction in the stone of the front and sides of the butt. The bevel is demarcated by a line of bruising and is concave. The cutting edge is chipped. A piece of paper adhered to the front of the blade reads: "188"
