Adze, Toki
Complete adze. The cross section is asymmetrical: lozenge shaped on the proper left side, with a sawing mark and ridge dominating the proper right side. There is a ridge down the centre of the back. The surface is ground. There is a clear, rough substance adhered to the front surface near the poll which also has trapped hair or fibres adhered to it. The butt is undifferentiated. The poll is reduced almost to a point. The bevel is demarcated by a triangular ridge at the chin. The cutting edge is asymmetrically curved, with the proper left side of the blade longer than the right. The cutting edge is sharp.
