Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Grey stone. The cross-section is plano-convex. The surface is mostly bruised and flaked. The bevel and the lower front of the blade are ground. There is a shoulder in the centre of the front and a reduction in the stone on the front of the butt. The sides of the blade taper slightly towards the cutting edge. The bevel is smooth and continuous with the blade and is distinguished by its difference in surface. The cutting edge is straight and sharp. A small piece of paper adhered to the back of the butt reads "346".
