Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Dark brown stone. The cross-section is trapezoidal with the back narrower than the front. The surface is ground on both sides of the blade and bruised and flaked on the sides and butt. There is major distinction between the blade and the butt, with shoulders and a reduction in the stone on both sides. The bevel is smooth and continuous with the blade. The blade is slightly concave on the back. There is a piece of paper adhered to the back which reads ?"Caroline" in pencil.
