Adze, Toki

Complete unfinished adze. Brown stone. Quadrangular cross-section. The surface is bruised and flaked with ground areas on the blade. There is a circular flake scar on the front of the butt. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade. The sides of the blade taper in from the cutting edge to the poll. The bevel is continuous with the blade and demarcated only on the proper right side by an oblique ridge. The cutting edge curved and sharp.
