Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Mid grey stone. Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is bruised and ground. Major differentiation between butt and blade with front reduced to form two ridges and sets of shoulders. Back of the adze is also reduced down the proper left side Bevel is demarcated by a change in surface and a ridge on the proper left side. Cutting edge is slightly curved and chipped, particularly on the proper right side. Residual sticker on the back side. "Clutha District" inscription on front and back.
