Adze, Toki

Complete unfinished adze. Light green stone. Trapezoidal cross-section with the back narrower than the front. The surface is ground on the front of the blade and the bevel. There are flake scars on the proper left front and bruising on the back of the blade. There is a reduction in the stone from flake scars on the sides of the butt. The bevel is smooth and continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is sharp and irregular with several chips.
