Adze, Toki

Complete unfinished adze. Grey stone. Plano-convex cross-section with the front flattened. The surface is bruised and flaked with ground areas on the blade. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade. The bevel is demarcated by a line on the proper right side and flake scars on the left. The cutting edge is straight, oblique and chipped.
